This is to notify the general public that the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) will embark on mass registration of taxpayers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). In compliance with Joint Tax Board (JTB) requirement for biometric data capture for TIN generation to ensure the uniqueness of Taxpayer Identification, FCT-IRS will leverage on biometric data already capture by some agencies and institutions, which include:
- Joint Tax Board (JTB) — Taxpayer Identification Number (JTB-TIN);
- National identity Management Commission (NIMC) — National Identity Number (NIN); and
- Banks — Bank Verification Number (BVN).
Therefore, Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Corporate organizations and individuals are requested to come forward for the TIN Registration. MDAs and corporate organizations employing 5 and more staff, should forward the list of the staff together with their biod.ata and unique identifiers for the issuance of the unique Tax identification Numbers. The information for each staff and/or Taxpayer should include: Surname, First Name, Residential address (Address line, LGA, Town, State), NIN or BVN or JTB TIN, OSM, Email and Date of Birth.
